Description
This requirement for one each EMI Lab Frequency Upgrade system is to obtain an electric field generation capability in the frequency range of 18 GHz to 26.5 GHz to extend an existing MIL-STD-461F, test method RS103 capability. The EMI Lab Frequency Upgrade system shall produce electric field strength of at least 200 Volts/meter at a distance of one meter from the radiating antenna between 18 GHz and 26.5 GHz, at the frequency increments specified in MIL-STD-461F. The complete system shall consist of one each 18 26.5 GHz 19 rack mountable amplifier with General Purpose Interface Bus control functionality, one each 18 - 26.5 GHz high-gain narrow beam-width horn antenna that can be paired with the amplifier, one each 18 - 26.5 GHz high-gain wide beam-width horn antenna that can be paired with the amplifier, at least 30 cm length of waveguide or cabling to connect the antenna to the amplifier, a non-metallic tripod for the antenna and a non-metallic tripod support for the waveguide/cable assembly. There is an additional requirement for two each electric field probes capable of measuring the generated fields between 18 - 40 GHz at a minimum. The field probes shall connect and provide electric field data with the existing Amplifier Research (AR) AR FM7004 field monitor, e.g. the AR FP7050 field probe. Options will be included for one additional antenna, tripod and waveguide/cable assembly. The system shall be capable of being powered by standard power supplies such as 3 phase 208 Vac, single phase 208 Vac, or single phase 115 Vac. The standard documentation supplied with this type of equipment is required, including power output curves on the amplifier, antenna patterns and gain, as well as losses in the waveguide/cables over the desired frequency range.A written Request for Quotations (RFQ) will be issued using the procedures in FAR Part 12 and FAR 13.5 - Test Program for Certain Commercial Items. A firm fixed price contract is expected to be awarded by 21 August 2008, FOB Destination China Lake, CA 93555. The delivery schedule will be 18 weeks after date of award. All responsible sources may submit a quotation which shall be considered by the agency, referencing N68936-08-T-0164 to Kelly Teuscher, @kelly.teuscher@navy.mil 760-939-3772. See Note 1.
