- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Supart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This requirement is solicited using simplified acquisition procedures authorized under the Test Program for Commercial Items (Subpart 13.500). The U.S. Census Bureau has a requirement for Microsoft Premier Support Services for a one-year period beginning June 2007. Support is required for all Microsoft products owned by the U.S. Census Bureau during the period of award. The Contracting Officer has justified the requirement as being "specific make-and model" in accordance with Subpart 11.105. The requirement covers up to 400 hours of Support Account Management and Support Assistance, up to 86 hours of Problem Resolution Support, 2 onsite Services Resource visits; and six Microsoft TechNet plus Single User subscriptions. All qualified sources are invited to respond to this solicitation. However, only quotes that include the specific commercial item specified in this notice will be considered. Interested parties must submit their quotes to the solicitation issuing office by 3:00 p.m EST. Quotes may be submitted electronically to pamela.a.miller@census.gov.
