- A sole source procurement is contemplated with Alliant Techsystems, Inc (ATK), 3309 N. Reseda Cr., Mesa, AZ 85215. AFRL/RWM desires to purchase a 30mm gun barrel for the ATK MK-44, which is believed to be proprietary to ATK. However, all interested parties may submit statements of capability (SOC), which will be considered if received within 15 days of publication of this notice (18 Jun 08). Submit to: Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL/RWK), Attn: Leah Ransom, 101 W. Eglin Blvd. Ste. 337, Eglin AFB FL 32542. Please refer technical questions to 2 Lt Mitcheal A. Cooksey, Jr., 850-883-3582 and business questions to Leah Ransom, 850-883-2679. An Ombudsman has been appointed to address concerns of offeror or potential offerors. The Ombudsman does not diminish the authority of the program manager or contracting officer, but communicates contractor concerns, issues, disagreements and all recommendations to the appropriate Government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman shall maintain strict confidentiality as to the source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or the source selection process. Matters of routine or administrative nature concerning this acquisition should not be addressed to the Ombudsman, but rather to the contracting points of contact identified above.
