- The 412 TSS/DRP (ACQ) Air Force Flight Test Center at Edwards Air Force Base, CA is currently seeking information for replacing 5 existing flight vision analog video systems which have exceeded lifecycle requirements to accommodate an industry standard network of new technologies that provide the 412 Range customers flexibility, network connectivity, data transmission, storage, reduced bandwidth requirements, signal diversity, aggregate throughput, scalability and reduced operations and maintenance costs. The upgraded system is required to ensure that all mission video and images are routed to the appropriate test participants to conduct test and evaluation operations. We are also looking for a system that will be maintainable for 5-7 years. This upgrade will provide remotely controlled video equipment with high resolution/high definition TV (HDTV), high speed, infrared video and time, space, and positioning information interface capabilities to ground-based optical trackers required for flight testing. The main components of the system consist of Kineto Tracking Mount (KTM), imaging sensors, and operator cabin and distribution. Other components consist of lenses, cameras, onsite solid state recording, auto track and remote control station capability. This posting is neither a sources sought synopsis nor is it a solicitation. This request for information is not to be construed as a commitment on the part of the Government. Interested entities are encouraged to respond by providing their company name, technical and contractual points of contact, phone numbers, and product information that supports the stated requirements. Written responses shall be sent via U.S. Mail, express/overnight deliveries, or courier service for receipt at Edwards AFB no later than 3:30 p.m. (local time) on 17 June 2008, addressed to Vicky Morris, 412 TENG/CL, 307 E.
