- The solictitation for this project will be posted on or about June 20, 2008 with offers due on July 2, 2008. The work includes noncommercial thinning to reduce stocking levels and improve growth in managed stands on the Walla Walla Ranger District. All units have several tree species present. The most common species are Ponderosa pine, Douglas fir, Western larch, Engelmann spruce, Grand fir and Lodgepole pine. The contractor shall furnish all labor, supervision, transportation, equipment, materials, and tools (except those designated as Government-furnished), and incidentals required to accomplish thinning in compliance with the terms, statement of work, specifications and provisions of the contract. The solicitation will result in a single award, fixed price contract. The award will be dependent on offers received and the best value analysis process. Estimated start work date for both Items will be July 21, 2008.
