- ****** CONTACT JANET APPLETON ONLY FOR INFORMATION REGARDING THISANNOUNCEMENT********NASA/MSFC has a requirement to upgrade on-site Aero-90 load control systems with thenewly developed AeroPro Software solely provided by MTS Systems Corporation.NASA/MSFC intends to purchase the items from MTS on a sole source basis. MTS is themanufacturer of the Aero-90 family of load control systems. All of the associatedhardware and software are proprietary and therefore supported only by MTS Systems. TheAero-Pro software will support ARES I Testing which will begin in 2009.The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12.Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform theeffort in writing to Janet Appleton @ janet.appleton@nasa.gov or fax 256-544-6560 nolater than 4:30 p.m. local time on 6/6/2008. Such capabilities/qualifications will beevaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct thisprocurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to competethis proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to thisnotice, is solely within the discretion of the government.Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice.All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency.An Ombudsman has been appointed.
