- REMOVE PAINT FROM HISTORIC IRON FENCE, GETTYSBURG NATIONAL MILITARY PARK, GETTYSBURG, PA.On or about June 20, 2008, the National Park Service will be issuing an Invitation for Bid to construction firms having the capability to perform the work described below. This solicitation will be issued electronically (paper copies of this solicitation will not be made available) on the Department of Interior's National Business Center (NBC) website at http://ideasec.nbc.gov. Solicitation documents will be available in Microsoft Word, HTML, TIFF and Adobe PDF formats. Bidders wishing to receive electronic notification of changes will need to register to receive notification of this specific solicitation at http//ideasec.nbc.gov. This service is provided for convenience only and does not serve as a guarantee of notification. Plan holders will be required to visit this website periodically to check for amendments and other changes to the contract documents. No other notification will be sent. Scope of work: Contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, materials, transportation and supervision necessary to remove all paint, primer, and rust on existing fence and reapply primer and paint. The proposed period of performance is August 1, 2008 - Nov. 30, 2008. The NAICS code and size standard for this procurement are 238320 and $13.0 million. The estimated magnitude of this project is between $100,000 and $250,000. Only one award shall be made. The estimated time for completion is 126 calendar days from the date of the Notice to Proceed. Sealed bid procedures will be used for this solicitation. The solicitation will be issued and awarded under the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program (PL100-656). A firm-fixed price contract will be awarded to the bidder submitting the lowest bid. A pre-bid site visit may be held (see solicitation package for time and date of scheduled visit). It is the policy of the Government to provide maximum practicable opportunities in its acquisitions to small business, veteran-owned small business, service-disabled veteran-owned small business, HUBZone small business, small disadvantaged business, and women-owned small business concerns. Such concerns must also have the maximum practicable opportunity to participate as subcontractors in the contracts awarded by any executive agency, consistent with efficient contract performance. Award will be made pursuant to the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program.All questions must be in writing and may be submitted to Gettysburg National Military Park, Administration-Karen Umstot, 1000 Biglerville Road, Gettysburg, PA, 7325 or emailed to karen_umstot@nps.gov Telephone requests will not be accepted.
