Description

The following Contractor Questions were received by the DDC Contracting Office in response to the solicitation: I have a Few Question in ref to the Specification and Drawings 1. Drawings and specification do not show or indicate any Heat trace on the Water lines to the Chiller 2. Drawings and specification do not indicate that there is any glycol in the system, Or that this a a gycole system 3. Drawings and specifications do not indicate any ATC. what controls the pump and new chiller ? 4. Drawigs or specification do not indiacte what type of controller for pump or what controls pump ? 5. Specification and scope do not mention What is to be done with the Old Chiller ? The following responses are provided to these Contractor Questions: 1. Heat trace is not required. 2. Glycol is not required. 3. The existing system does not have ATC. New Pump shall be controlled by a manual switch wired to the chilled waterflow interlock. The water chiller shall be completely factory wired with necessary controls and contactor pressure lugs or terminal block for power wiring. 4. Pump shall be controlled by the manual switch. 5. See Specification 02220, Paragraph 3.3.1. Old chiller is not specified as a salvage item and it becomes property of the contractor. There is no extension to the closing date for this solicitation; closing date remains as June 4, 2008.
