Description
NASA/DFRC has a requirement for VectorCAST Software.The specifications are:CC-W32-2 VectorCAST/C++ for Win32CC-MAI VectorCAST/C++ MaintenanceCC-SOL-2 VectorCAST/C++ for SolarisCC-MAI VectorCAST/C++ MaintenanceCC-LIN-2 VectorCAST/C++ for LinuxCC-MAI VectorCAST/C++CV-M-W32 VectorCAST/Coverage AnalyzerCV-M-MAI VectorCAST/Coverage AnalyzerRSP-VXGW1 Windriver VxWorks Run Time SupRSP-MAI1 RSP Maintenance 1st LicenseRSP-VXGW2 Windriver VxWorks Run TimeRSP-MAI2 RSP Maintenance 2nd LicenseNASA/DFRC intends to purchase the items Vector Software. There are a limited number oftools available to perform code coverage testing. The vast majority of the otherproducts on the market target specific hardware/ software applications that are commonlyused by the DOD/ FAA. Dryden research applications are not limited to this specifichardware/ software set (i.e. SOFIA intends to implement both SOLARIS and LINUX basedoperating systems) This means that a seperate set of tools would have to be procured tosupport these applications. Additional training/ set up time would also be required.This tool is in use by SOFIA development contractors. Using a consistent tool setreduces program risk.The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12.Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform theeffort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 4:30 p.m. local timeon June 12, 2008.Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for thepurpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and opencompetition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretionof the government.Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice.All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency.An Ombudsman has been appointed.
