- The John D. Dingell Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, 4646 John R. Street, Detroit, MI, 48201 intends to negotiate a sole source procurement with Siemens Building Technologies, Inc., 31623 Industrial Road, Livonia, MI 48150. The proposed contract is to supply and install new oxygen trim on four Cleaver Brooks boilers located in the Energy Center. The boilers are an integral component of our heating and cooling, sterilization, and steam systems. The project will consist of removing the existing Jack Shaft System, installation of new oxygen trim controls, calibration, combustion analysis, and training. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302-1(a)(2). All FAR provisions and clauses may be reviewed and/or obtained from the General Service Internet address: http//www.arnet.gov/far. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. All information shall be furnished at no cost or obligation to the Government. A determination not to compete this proposed contract, based upon responses received, will be made entirely at the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Offeror must complete and return all information designated in FAR 52.212-1 Instructions to Offers Commercial Items. All responses must be received no later than Friday, June 13, 2008 at 2:00pm EST.
