Description
SOLICITATION NO: 301818-B-135 PROJECT TITLE: Ditch #11 Embankment Stabilization PROJECT LOCATION: U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service, Agassiz National Wildlife Refuge, 22996 290th Street NE Middle River,(Marshall County) Minnesota 56737-9754 PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Project consists of the Excavating and re-grading the slopes of Ditch 11 and constructing temporary cofferdams for water control. Placing geo-textile material where indicated for embankment reinforcement and under gravel where indicated for access roads. Sawing off existing steel stabilization piles to match the new slopes and the placement of riprap where specified. ESTIMATED MAGNITUDE: The magnitude of this requirement in terms of physical characteristics and estimated price range is between $500,000 - $1 Million. This procurement is issued unrestricted with regards to business size under the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program, Public Law 100-656, and is NOT set-aside for small business concerns. For information purposes, the North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) is 237990, Other Heavy and Civil Engineering Construction, with a size standard of $31 Million The Solicitation package/Invitation for Bid (IFB) will be available via electronic commerce at http://ideasec.nbc.gov and http://www.fedbizopps.gov on or about June 16, 2008 with proposals due on or about July 17, 2008. Award is estimated for August 01, 2008 with 210 calendar days for project completion. Firms interested in receiving notification of all subsequent postings to include the IFB, must use the "Register to Receive Notification" feature on the Federal Business Opportunities (FEDBIZOPPS) website. No telephone requests for the solicitation will be accepted. The Solicitation will not be available in hard copy unless specifically requested in writing and due to not having electronic access to the Solicitation via a PC. The electronic solicitation package will consist of separate files for the Standard Form 1442 used for Sealed Bid Offer including: Scope of Work, (Specifications), the drawings, and the prevailing wage determination. Please ensure that you have downloaded the complete IFB Solicitation Package to ensure you have all the required documents before submitting your Bid. SITE VISIT: Offerors are encouraged to inspect the site where the work will be performed. Site visits may be arranged during normal duty hours through coordination with Robert "Jake" Jacobson at 612-713-5165
