Description
This contract requires tree thinning and slash treatment (lop and scatter, lop and pile) of all thinned material, and related work on approximately 445 acres in three Bid Items in compliance with its terms, specifications, and provisions. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, supervision, transportation, supplies (except those designated as Government furnished), and incidentals to perform the required work. Work may be performed by hand and/or machine operations. Pecos/Las Vegas Ranger Districts, Santa Fe National Forest, New Mexico. NOTE: This solicitation will not be available electronically. Please contact one of the individuals listed herein to request a copy of the solicitation. The work is in the Gallinas Municipal Watershed WUI Project, County of San Miguel, Pecos/Las Vegas Ranger District, Santa Fe National Forest, New Mexico. Bid Items 1 and 2 are composed of dense stands of mostly uneven-aged mixed conifer, dominated by Douglas-fir, ponderosa pine, white fir and limber pine. The topography is moderately steep with approximately 40-50% of the treatment areas exceeding 40% slope. Bid Item 3 is composed of dense stands of mostly uneven-aged ponderosa pine and mixed conifer, including ponderosa pine, Douglas-fir, white fir and limber pine. The topography is moderate with approximately 10-20% of the treatment area exceeding 40% slope.
