- Description
- The US Army Space and Missiel Defense Command intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Raytheon Company, Andover MA for an increase to the ceiling on the current Raytheon Contract W9113M-08-C-0153. The purposed action is pursuant to 10 U.S.C 2304 (c)(1), as implemented by Federal Acquisition Requlation (FAR) 6.302-1. This action is to provide BETSS-C engineering, programmatic, logtistics, mission sustainment, system support activities and analysis to include all phases of Integrated Support Planning, coordination, control, scheduling and monitoring of assets. Award to any source other than Raytheon would result in unacceptable delays and substantial cost. This action will be a modification to the existing cost plus fixed fee contract. The ceiling increase will support the execution of work planned through 1 May 09. The significant duplication of cost involved with a new contractor is considered to be well beyond any cost savings that might be achieved through competition. Under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, this action is directed toward Raytheon Company. This acquistion is not open to foreign firms. All responses should be directed to Elbert Clarke at elbert.clarke@smdc.army.mil and must be received within fifteen (15) days from publication of this synopsis. No telephone inquires will be accepted. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services the government intends to negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. This notice of intent is to negotiate a sole source modification to Contract W9113M-08-C-0153, and is not a request for competitive proposals. This synopsis is being issued for information purposes only. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. Solicitation documents are not available. See numbered notes 22.
