- REHAB ELECTRICAL SYSTEM AT LOX PLANT. This is not a request for either a quote or proposal, or an invitation for bid. The intent of this pre-solicitation synopsis is to identify potential offerors to rehab the electrical systems at the LOX Plant Building 444 & 447 and perform sire preparation for the installation of the new Mobile Nitrogen Gas Generators equipment, Naval Air Station, Sigonella, Sicily, Italy by means of a firm fixed price construction contract. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 238210. Contractors will be required to be certified in compliance with the Societa Orgainis d Attestazione (SOA) and provide proof of the certification with the submission of the firms offer. Classification is as follows: Prevailing category OS30, Class I. Estimated cost: 206,475.00 to 412,950.00. This is a new procurement. It does not replace an existing contract. No information exists on prior contract. The project includes a base bid item. The total duration shall not exceed 150 calendar days. The project will be solicited as an Invitation for Bid (IFB). Offerors can view and/or download the solicitation via Navy Electronic Commerce Online (NECO) website at https://euro.neco.navy.mil when it becomes available. All interested offerors shall register at this website. No notice of solicitation activity will be provided to interested offerors. The solicitation is expected to be posted on June 13, 2008. Proposals are expected to be due on July 14, 2008 at 14:00 P.M. (CET). All dates are tentative and are subject to change. Registration for this solicitation does not release bidders from the responsibility of checking the solicitation daily for any amendments or other information pertaining to this solicitation. This is an internet only solicitation, paper copies of the solicitation, amendments, drawings and maps will not be provided. A site visit has been scheduled for Wednesday, 25 June 2008 at 0900-1000.
