- The Naval Medical Logistics Command intends to negotiate on a sole source basis (IAW FAR 13.5) with Siemens Medical Solutions USA, Inc., 51 Valley Stream Parkway, Malvern, PA 19355, as the only source that can provide the Siemens ultrasound upgrades to be used in conjunction with an existing Siemens ultrasounds at NMC San Diego and NMC Portsmouth. Specifically, the contractor shall provide: 1.Siemens Acuson 4C1 Transducer (MP), Qty: 2 EACH; 2.Siemens Acuson 4V1 Transducer (MP), Qty: 1 EACH; 3.Siemens Acuson 8C4 Transducer, Qty: 2 EACH; 4.Siemens Acuson EV-8C4 Transducer, Qty: 4 EACH; 5.Sony 14” External Monitor, Qty: 8 EACH; 6.Siemens Acuson Antares 3.5 pe to 5.0 pe UPG, Qty: 2 EACH; 7.Siemens Acuson 5.0 SW Option, Eng, Qty: 2 EACH; 8.Siemens Option Upgrade Generic Antares, Qty: 2 EACH; 9.Siemens SieClear to Adv SieClear Upg, Ant, Qty: 2 EACH; 10.Siemens Antares Paper Man. English 5.0, ACU, Qty: 4 EACH; 11.Siemens Antares Service Manual, Qty: 4 EACH. This acquisition is being conducted under simplified acquisition procedures (IAW FAR 13.5). There are no set-aside restrictions for this requirement. The intended procurement will be classified under North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) 339112 with a Small Business Size Standard of 500 employees. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation document exists for this requirement. However, parties interested in responding to this notice will need to submit technical data sufficient to determine capability in providing the same product. All capability statements received within 15 days after publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Capability statements shall be submitted by email only as a MS Word or Adobe PDF attachment to James Suerdieck at james.suerdieck@med.navy.mil. Statements are due by COB 13 JUN 08.
