- Contract number DOLJ08SA00001 for continued operation of the Sacramento Job Corps Center has been awarded to Horizons Youth Services. (This was a small-business set-aside procurement.) Job Corps is a residential training program for economically disadvantaged youth between the ages of 16 and 24. The successful offeror will manage and operate a government-owned facility and hire staff for residential living, basic education, vocational training, outreach, career development, career transition services, and health care services in accordance with the applicable DOL/Job Corps regulations. This contract will not include any direct Outreach/Admissions services. The contract capacity is for 166 residential males, 166 residential females, 73 non-residential males, and 72 non-residential females for a total capacity of 477 trainee participants. The contract is a Performance-Based Cost-Plus-Incentive Fee contract for a two-year base period from July 1, 2008 to June 30, 2010, plus three unilateral options of one year each.
