Description

The following Contractor Questions were received by the DDC Contracting Office in response to the solicitation: I understand that access to Panel ‘Z-101’ was not possible during the original walk-thru. On plan page M-101, Panel Z-101 is described as a General Electric Spectra Series. 1. What are the amperages of the existing breakers for the Chiller and Pump that are being replaced? 2. Are there catalog numbers that can be read on the breakers that are installed in this panel? 3. Do the replacement units require the same size breaker that is already installed? The following responses are provided to these Contractor Questions: 1. Existing circuit breaker Z-102 feeds both the chiller and pump and is rated at 150A trip. Chiller has a 100A disconnect switch fused at 100A and the pump has a 30A disconnect switch fused at 15A. 2. GE Spectra RMS Hi-Break Circuit Breaker Catalog No. SFHA36AT0250. 3. This is dependant on the units supplied. As per Electrical Note No. 1 on Drawing No. M-101, breakers shall be sized in accordance with the manufacturers recommendations for the units provided. There is no extension to the closing date for this solicitation; closing date remains as June 2, 2008.
