- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for services in which the government intends to acquire in accordance with FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisitions Procedures. Department of Commerce (DOC), National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS), Ted Stevens Marine Research Institute located in Juneau, AK has a requirement for a vessel charter to conduct longline surveys for 8-10 days near Kodiak or Dutch Harbor in July or August 2008. See attached detailed statement of work and vessel requirements for complete description of required services. The proposed contract is 100% set-aside for small business concerns. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation, quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Only firms that can provide the services and vessel requirement described herein will be considered. A fixed firm order will be issued with period of performance that will start no earlier than July 1, 2008 and ending date no later than August 12, 2008. All interested parties must respond to this announcement within fifteen (15) calendar days of its publication. This RFQ closes at 4:00 p.m. June 13, 2008.
