- NOTICE: Only local sources will be considered under this solicitation. Local sources are sources (e.g., corporations or partnerships) that are physically located in Japan and authorized (i.e., licensed and registered) to perform in Japan, the type of work specified in this solicitation. Specifically, a prospective offeror must be duly authorized to operate and conduct business in Japan and must fully comply with all laws, decrees, labor standards, and regulations of Japan during the performance of the resulting contracts. In addition, prior to award of the contracts, offerors must be registered with the Government of Japan to do work in Japan and possess necessary licenses and permits to perform work required under this solicitation. PROJECT INFORMATION: Professional services are required to perform a botanical field survey, translocation, and monitoring at Kadena Air Base, Okinawa, Japan. The work shall be conducted in accordance with the Japan Environmental Governing Standards (JEGS; U.S. Air Forces Japan, Headquarters, September 2006), Chapter 13, Natural Resources including Endangered Species and Air Force Instruction 32-7064. Solicitation documents will be provided on Compact Disk-Read Only Memory (CD-ROM). The solicitation will be issued on or about 29 May 2008 and offers must be submitted by 9 June 2008 (1500 hours Japan Standard Time) to Procurement Branch, Contracting Division, Attn: Takako Hirukawa.
