- The purpose of this amendment is to notify offerors that due to unexpected and unavoidable absences of various members of the evaluation team, the evaluation of proposals for solicitation HSFEEM-08-Q-0024 for FEMA NFIRS Help Desk Support has been delayed. The result is that the base period of performance will commence on 1 July 2008 or date of contract award, whichever is later. I regret this delay but given the nature of the requirement and the necessity of ensuring the evaluations of proposals are thorough and complete, as well as ensuring necessary reviews of award documentation are completed in a thorough manner, there is no other option. The incumbent’s contract will be initially extended for a period of one month under the provisions of FAR 52.217-8. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me. The solicitation is closed, no other proposals, or revisions to existing submitted proposals, will be accepted. This notice is intended only to notify interested parties that there has been a delay in the expected award date. Thank you.
