Description
The Naval Sea Systems Command is conducting market research to determine the existence and interest of sources to provide a 24 to 28 meter Patrol Craft. A technical and price proposal will be required in the event an official RFP is released. The craft will be procured under a Foreign Military Sales Case. This notice is not a request for proposal (RFP), and no solicitation is available at this time. This is for information purposes only so that potential sources may be identified. Anticipated Scope of Work: The Patrol Craft will be a Deep-Vee mono-hull with Length (waterline) of not less than 24-meters and a Length (overall) not to exceed 28 meters. The molded beam shall be between 5 and 6 meters. The vessels draft shall not exceed 1.5 meters. The vessels speed shall exceed 45-kts in a full load condition. The vessels range shall not be less than 500nm at planning speed with a 20-percent reserve fuel capacity and an endurance of six (6) days. The crew size is anticipated to be three (3) officers and nine (9) enlisted. The vessels propulsion system shall be powered by two heavy duty marine diesel engines from either Caterpillar or MTU with ZF reversing reduction gears and waterjets from either Hamilton or Rolls Royce configured for tropical, high salinity sea water. The propulsion machinery should be removable via bolted deck hatches. A Caterpillar Marine diesel generator sufficient to provide 120% of full electrical load with 380/220 Volts AC, 3-phase 50 HZ power. An all-weather Pilot house must provide bullet proof protection with 360 degrees of visibility. The craft shall be fitted with four (4) lifting lugs (SWL of 50-percent of the crafts lightweight condition). A metal cradle shall be provided for lifting, maintenance and stowage of the craft. The craft shall have weapon station foundations for a minimum of three (3).50 caliber automatic guns. The craft shall be able to launch and recover a small RIB craft with outboard motor. The crafts working environment is defined as high salinity sea water; sea water temperature of 35-degrees Celsius; and the ambient air temperature of 45-degrees Celsius with 80-percent humidity. The craft shall be fully operational in sea state 3 and survivable in sea state 4 using the Pierson-Moskowitz Sea Spectrum.
