- U.S. Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) anticipates contracting with Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation, 6900 Main Street, Stratford, CT 06615-9129, for a transmission, mechanical, P/N 70351-58100-046, NSN 1615-01-542-7514 to be installed on the MH-60M, or any other aircraft fielded for USSOCOM. The proposed action is for a commodity purchase for which the Government does not own specifications and drawings to permit full and open competition. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority FAR 6.302-1. Firms that feel they can provide this commodity or equal are encouraged to identify themselves. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposal, however, the Government will consider all proposals received by the specified due date (in accordance with FAR 5.203(a)). A determination by the Government not to compete this acquisition is solely within the discretion of the Government. The estimated release date of the solicitation is 28 May 2008.
