Description

The US Postal Service - Office of Inspector General is soliciting proposals for Office Build-out, located at the Atlanta, GA - Dunwoody Branch, located at 1551 Dunwoody Village Parkway, Atlanta, GA. PACKAGES CAN BE RECEIVED BY CONTACTING PATTI BONAGURIO, PRINTING MILL, @ (770)-6507558 EXT. 118, AT A COST OF $50 PER PACKAGE. PLEASE MAKE CHECK PAYABLE TO: USPS OFFICE OF INSPECTOR GENERAL. Packages will be available May 27, 2008. Completion of this project is 120 days from the date of the Notice to Proceed. The construction cost range is $982,000 to $1,130,000. Scope of work will include approximately 6,500 sf of renovations to convert a portion of an existing 12,600 SF postal facility to new office space and LAN room. Existing faciity will stay in operation during construction and operations cannot be hindered. Demolition includes CMU bearing walls, interior partitions and finishes, plumbing, HVAC, and electrical systems. Asbestos abatement will be performed under a separate contract. New construction and/or renovation includes patching, sealing, and restriping existing asphalt paving, landscaping under a design-build contract, structrual steel, modified bituminous membrane roof system, roof shingles, gutters and downspouts, metal studs and gypsum board interior walls, custom millwork, solid core wood doors with hollow metal frames, exterior storefront windows, interior finishes - VCT, carpet, paint, access floor, and office system from a direct vendor. New systems will include HVAC - multiple DX-gas package rooftop units and air-cooled split system, FM-200 dry fire suppression system, plumbing fixtures and systems, and electrical service at 120/208 volt, 3-phase, natural gas generator, UPS, light fixtures and electrical telecommunication devices. There will be a pre-prosal conference at the facility on June 3rd at 11am. The proposal must contain the offeror's overhead, profit, bonds, insurance and all other contingencies. The Postal Service encourages the participation of small, minority and women owned business subcontractors for this project. The Postal Service will select the offeror that provides the best value, taking into consideration technical and cost-related factors. There will be not public opening of offers. All proposal information received in CONFIDENTIAL until award of a contract.
