- The project is in an interior renovation of approximately 20,000 square feet of a 725 seat auditorium and adjacent support spaces. Work will include removal and disposal of existing roofing and providing new roofing system, HVAC including condenser units, air handlers, and associated control systems, plumbing, installations of a building sprinkler system, electrical power, lighting, telephone/data, AV systems, and an emergency generator. Architectural interior work will include new interior finishes including flooring, ceilings, walls, and minor realignment and addition of new interior spaces and the installation of new auditorium seating. Work also includes the removal and disposal of hazardous materials including asbestos, lead-based paint, and mercury containing lamps. This is not a request for either a quote or proposal, or an invitation for bid. The intent of this pre-solicitation synopsis is to identify potential offerors for Renovations to Spruance Hall, Naval War College, Newport, RI. 11. The NAICS Code for this procurement is 236220 and the annual size standard is $31 million. 12. Estimated cost: $1 million to $5 million. This is a new procurement. It does not replace an existing contract. No information exists on prior contracts. Offerors can view and/or download the solicitation at https://www.neco.navy.mil/ when it becomes available. The proposed contract listed here is Unrestricted. The proposed contract action is for interior renovations/Construction for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate as an Unrestricted competitive procurement. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. Large business concerns are required to submit a subcontracting plan prior to award of the contract. Offerors shall submit with their offer a bid bond of 20% of the amount for DBA work. Interested parties should respond no later than 6 June 2008.
