- Description
- The Defense Information Technology Contracting Organization (DITCO), Hardware/Software Branch, Software Section, (DITCO/PL8321), 2300 East Drive, Scott AFB IL 62225-5406, intends to issue a sole source contract to SAS Institute, SAS Campus Drive, Cary, NC 27513-2414. This acquisition is for a follow-on procurement effort to renew the expiring software licensing and maintenance support contract for Statistical Analysis System (SAS) software products, and for the purchase of new licenses for products to be added to the Standard Operating Environment, product enhancements/product upgrades or increased capacity for the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA), Computing Services Logistics. SAS software is a suite of products that is used for statistical analysis, predictive analysis, and business intelligence. SAS has proprietary rights to the software code for the SAS products associated with this requirement and is the only known source that can provide this maintenance support. No other vendor or distributor can legally obtain access to the software and no other vendor can make duplicate copies since it is protected by copyright and patent laws. The Period of Performance is a Base Year with 4 One-Year Options beginning 01 January 2009 through 31 December 2009. The statutory authority for other than full and open competition is 10 USC 2304(c)(1), only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Companies who can provide the above listed software license and enhancement renewal must request a copy of the RFP not later than 6 June 08 via the following address: maria.meyer@disa.mil.
