- The Purpose of this Special Notice is to inform all contractors who will do business with the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) in the future that in accordance with Public Law Number 110-161, passed in December of 2007, TSA will comply with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR). Therefore, for this transition, all solicitations issued by TSA on June 23, 2008, or later, will follow the FAR. Please note that all TSA contracts awarded or TSA solicitations issued prior to June 23, 2008, will remain under the terms and conditions of their existing contract or the ongoing solicitations.
