- NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE MODIFICATION TO PURCHASE ORDER N00167-07-M-5582 to Glenair, Inc., 1211 Air Way, Glendale, CA 91201-2497. The Naval Surface Warfare Center Carderock Division (NSWCCD) has a requirement to conduct testing in order to qualify conduit terminations and fittings that were developed by Glenair under purchase order N00167-07-M-5582. The qualifications must be in accordance with the test standards in MIL-PRF-2478A in order to meet the Navys performance requirements. Glenair is an approved supplier to MIL-PRF-247858A product and developed the material being tested. They are the only company who can provide adjustments or redesign of their product as a result of the testing. The statutory authority permitting other than full and open competition is 10 U.S.C 2304(c)(1) pursuant to FAR 6.302-1 Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
