- Furnish all material, equipment, transportation, supervision and labor necessary to provide Level 2 and Level 3 Road Maintenance and erosion control. All work shall be performed in accordance with standard industry practices for this type of work, and in accordance with the drawings and specifications that will be a part of this contract. Existing conditions of Level 2 and 3 roads may be moderate to severe and should be looked at individually to determine the level of work needed before bidding. The work includes drainage maintenance, obstruction removal, vegetative clearing, mobilization between roads, and minor slough, slides, and slump removal, as well as blading and shaping traveled way. This project is located within the Wet Mountains located on the San Carlos Ranger District in the San Isabel National Forest. The 54.1 miles of roads to be maintained are west of Beulah, east and north of Hwy 69 from Westcliffe to Gardner, and south of Hwy 96 from Wetmore to Westcliffe. The estimated starting date for this contract is July 14, 2008, with a completion date of October 31, 2008. The contractor shall maintain progress at a rate that shall assure completion and acceptance of work within this time frame. Estimated dollar value of this contract is between $25,000.00 and $100,000.00. The solicitation will be restricted to small businesses. The small business size standard for this type of work (NAICS Code 237990) is $31 million.
