- Description
- The USDA, Forest Service, Southwestern Region solicits the services of Architectural & Engineering (A&E) firms for traffic engineering. The Government intends to award one (1) A&E contract from this solicitation. The objective is to develop recommendations to improve safety for the traveling public on National Forest System Roads by eliminating or mitigating hazards through signing. Only regulatory and warning signs shall be evaluated by this contract. The work shall consist of completing and documenting a Traffic Engineering Judgement as defined in the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices, for roads specified in the contract on the Apache Sitgreaves National Forest in Arizona and on the Carson National Forest in New Mexico. The evaluation factors are: 1. Professional qualifications necessary for required services, licensed in both New Mexico and Arizona. 2. Specialized experience and technical competence in the type of work require. 3. Capacity to accomplish the work in the time allotted for the contract. 4. Past performance on contracts. Those firms interested in responding to this announcement must submit Standard Form (SF) 330 to this office by June 23, 2008.
