- Description
- The Department of Defense at Al Asad Air Base Iraq, has a requirement for a contractor to provide all personnel, ambulances, medicines, and equipment for the operation of basic and advanced life support Ambulance Services. This service will be twenty-four hours per day, seven days per week, 365 days per year. Contract period will be one year from date of award (approximately Aug 1, 2008) with the possibility of one (1) year pre-priced option period exercised at the option of the Government. Total contract duration will not exceed 2 years. Emergency Medical Technicians providing emergency services on the ambulance under this contract must be certified, licensed or otherwise officially recognized by the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians. It is the DoD's intent to solicit offers and award one contract on a competitive basis. This procurement will be conducted utilizing the commercial item procedures of FAR 12 in conjunction with FAR 13 and will be advertised as an unrestricted procurement. The applicable NAICS code is 621910. Size standard is $6.5M. Solicitation packages will be available on or about May 28, 2008 and will be due on or about June 28, 2008.
