- Description
- The Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) Rome Research Site (RRS) requires a contractor to furnish all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to renovate the Corporate Special Projects Facility (CSPF) building 3 suite D6/D7, an area approximately 13,000 sq. ft. A brief description of the work includes the demolition of the old suites; new partitions, floors, ceilings, and entrance ways; new electrical and communication distribution with an emergency generator system; and new HVAC distribution, fire suppression systems, and other plumbing furnishings. The applicable NAICS code is 236220 with an associated size standard of $31,000,000 average annual revenue. The procurement will be set aside for HUBZone Small Businesses in accordance with the procedures at FAR 19.13. The RFP will be posted online at the Federal Business Opportunities website http://www.fbo.gov under the reference number FA8751-08-R-0025 on or about 09 JUNE 08. Proposals will be due approximately 30 days later. A site visit will be conducted about 10 days after issuance of the RFP. The date will be finalized when the RFP is posted. The RFP documents only will be available electronically. Potential offerors will be responsible for downloading the RFP documents and for monitoring the website for possible amendments and any additional information. Award will be a firm fixed price (FFP) contract resulting from a competitive negotiated Request for Proposal (RFP). Due to the funding timeline, award may be made not be made until late Sep 08. The award decision will be based on Price / Past Performance Trade-Off as identified in FAR Part 15. It is intended that award will be made to the lowest priced responsible offeror if that offeror receives a past performance rating of substantial confidence. AFRL will post the list as an attachment to the RFP in order to facilitate subcontracting and teaming opportunities. NOTE: In order to receive a contract award, if issued, the successful offeror must be actively registered in Central Contractor Registration (CCR - http://www.ccr.gov), Online Representations and Certifications Application (ORCA - http://orca.bpn.gov), and Wide Area Workflow (WAWF - https://wawf.eb.mil). All responsible sources may submit a bid, proposal, or quotation which shall be considered by the agency.
