- Description
- The Embassy of the United States of America in Madrid, Spain will launch the solicitation on FedBizOps. This solicitation is to require operation and management of Local Guard Services in Madrid and Barcelona in order to prevent unauthorized access, protect life, maintain order, deter criminal attacks against employees, dependents and property and terrorist acts against all US assets, and prevent damage to Government property. The Contractor shall furnish managerial, administrative, and direct labor personnel to accomplish all work as required in the contract. The estimated number of hours for guards for standard services is 98746 hours per year. These requirements may change depending on funding availability in forthcoming periods. Anticipated performance is for one base period and four one-year periods at the option of the Government. Major duties and responsibilities are to perform access control to limit entry to only authorized personnel or visitors, the operation of walk-through metal detectors, hand-held detectors, electronic and hydraulic barriers and special monitoring devices. Services will not include Surveillance Detection Operations. All responsible sources may submit an offer, which shall be considered. Please note that this solicitation is not ready to be issued at this date. The Government intends to issue the solicitation on or about June 2008. Again, this solicitation will be issued via the FEDBIZOPPS, no paper copies will be mailed. Note: The response date in this FEDBIZOPPS is not a firm date, please see the RFP for the actual date.
