- Contractor shall provide all labor, material, and equipment to maintain, inspect, and repair the drinking water filtration system at U. S. Coast Guard Station, Jonesport, Maine (Washington County). The contractor shall have a minimum of five (5) years experience in operation of similar water filtration systems, shall be a State of Maine licensed (Class IV) operator, and have capability of data retrieval via the internet. The work includes weekly on site preventive maintenance and inspection, furnishing all required chemicals, taking scheduled water samples as required by the Maine Drinking Water Program, furnishing to the State monthly pumping and filtration reports, preparing and distributing an annual water quality report or Consumer Confidence Report as required by the Federal Safe Drinking Water Act; providing service calls as requested by CG Station Jonesport within 24 hours of notification, providing all parts and material for all preventive maintenance and repair work, and incidental related work. Period of performance will be 1 October 2008 through 30 September 2009 with four pre-priced option years, subject to the availability of funds. This is a best value procurement. All evaluation factors other than price, when combined, are approximately equal to price. Evaluation factors for award include price, past performance, qualifications to include a State of Maine licensed (Class IV) operator, and a minimum of five years experience in the operation of similar water filtration systems. Solicitation packages will be available on or about 3 June 2008. The due date for receipt of proposals is on or about 8 July 2008 at 4:00PM. The NAICS code is 221310. This Request for Proposal (RFP) is 100% set-aside for small business participation for which the applicable small business size standard is $6.5 Million average annual receipts for the preceding three fiscal years. Award of this contract is subject to the Availability of Funds, FAR 52.232-18.
