- The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Field Acquisition Office in Grand Prairie, Texas intends to make a single award for the provision of Comprehensive Medical Services for the Federal Correctional Institution located in Danbury, Connecticut. Offerors are encouraged to submit comprehensive proposals providing all listed output. Offerors who propose less will be evaluated accordingly. Services to be provided include inpatient/outpatient facility services, inpatient/outpatient physician services, and outpatient institution services. The contract type is a requirements type contract with firm-fixed unit pricing. The contract shall consist of a Base Year and four 12-month option years for renewal. The estimated quantities for the Base Year and all Option Years are as follows: Base Period: Inpatient Days, 50 estimated days; Outpatient Visits, 200 estimated visits; Option Year 1: Inpatient Days, 55 estimated days; Outpatient Visits, 210 estimated visits; Option Year 2: Inpatient Days, 60 estimated days; Outpatient Visits, 220 estimated visits; Option Year 3: Inpatient Days, 65 estimated days; Outpatient Visits, 230 estimated visits; Option Year 4: Inpatient Days, 70 estimated days; Outpatient Visits, 240 estimated visits. Estimated quantities for clinical lab tests will be 4508 per contract year. Due to the volume of information, quantities of outpatient institution services will be provided in the solicitation document. The solicitation will be made available on/or about June 15, 2008 and will be distributed solely through the General Administrations Federal Business Opportunities website at http://www.fedbizopps.gov/. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be available. The site provides downloading instructions. All future information regarding this acquisition, including solicitation amendments, will also be distributed solely through this site. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure that they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. The anticipated date for receipt of proposals is August 1, 2008. Faith-Based and Community-Based Organizations can submit offers equally with other organizations for contracts for which they are eligible. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which will be considered.
