Description
NASA/ARC has a requirement for one (1) fiscal year 2008 membership in the Centerfor Advanced Life Cycle Engineering (CALCE) Prognostics and Health Management (PHM)Consortium. NASA/ARC intends to purchase this membership from the University of Maryland of 3112 LeeBuilding, College Park, Maryland, 20742-5100.This membership includes the following:1. Access to and use of University of Maryland CALCE Materials through the CALCE PHMCWebsite under the terms and conditions of the Agreement.2. Access to and use of information on CALCE PHMC Website under the terms and conditionsof the Agreement.3. Use support for Materials in accordance with the Agreement4. Ability to influence the direction of CALCE PHMC research.5. Ability to monitor ongoing CALCE PHMC research projects.6. Immediate access to results of CALCE PHMC core research projects through the CALCEPHMC Website.7. Immediate access to CALCE PHME inventions through CALCE PHMC Website.8. Free attendance for Member employees to semi-annual technical meetings. (Spaceconsiderations may limit the number of Member employees who may attend for many oneDesignated Site.)9. Priority enrollment for Member employees in short courses, workshops, and seminars.(Space considerations may limit the number of Member employees who may attend fro manyone Designated Site.)10. Discounts on CALCE courses, workshops, and seminars.11. Representation on the PHMC Industrial Advisory Board.12. Participation in cooperative programs with University.13. Upon request, specially tailored programs to assist Member with recruiting Universityof Maryland students.The contractor must meet the following requirements:1. Perform research and development on the application of prognostics and healthmanagement to complex electronic products and systems, as well as systems-of-systems.2. Provide estimation of remaining useful system life in terms that are useful to eitherthe maintenance decision making process of the improvement of product design andreliability.3. Place members at the forefront of prognostics and health management, guide theresearch efforts, have access to all materials, and receive all research results.4. Provide deliverables that result from the research projects. Deliverables shall takeform of algorithms, methodologies, experimental data, case studies, and technicalreports.The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12.Interested parties may submit written capability statements to Rachel A.
