- NASA/JSC has an immediate requirement for two (2) T-VEC Test Generation Suite andSimulink Translator floating software licenses with extended 12-month maintenance. TheNASA flight software team is to perform hands-on evaluation of this software tool chainin conjunction with the Orion prime contractor, Lockheed Martin, as part of its insightand oversight responsibilities. The use of these tools allows the Government tounderstand issues and at the same time offer potential solutions, thus potentially savingmoney over the project life cycle.NASA/JSC intends to purchase these licenses directly from T-VEC Technologies, Inc. Thesoftware's proprietary data is owned solely by T-VEC Technologies, Inc. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform theeffort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 4:30 p.m. local timeon the above-specified date. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solelyfor the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on acompetitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed efforton a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solelywithin the discretion of the government. Oral communications ARE NOT acceptable in response to this notice. All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency. An Ombudsman has been appointed.
