- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The Solicitation number for this Request For Quote (RFQ) is Q6630080005. This acquisition is a 100% set aside for small business; the associated NAICS code is 423320 and the small business size standard is 100 employees. The government will award a firm-fixed-price (FFP) contract resulting from the solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer, conforming to the solicitation, is the lowest price. A written notice of award or acceptance of an offer mailed or otherwise furnished to the successful offeror within the time for acceptance specified in the offer, shall result in a binding contract without further action by either party. The contract for gravel will be awarded on or about June 4, 2008. REQUIREMENTS: The National Park Service has a requirement for the purchase and delivery of 561 tons Aggregate Surface Course-crushed angular rock meeting the requirements of Section 1033.02, paragraph 7 of the Nebraska Department of Transportation Standard Specifications for Highway Construction, and when prepared for compaction, shall meet the following screen analysis requirements by weight; Standard Sieve Size: 1 1/2", % Passing: 100; Standard Sieve Size: 1", % Passing 95-100; Standard Sieve Size: #4, % Passing: 30-70; Standard Sieve Size: #200, % Passing 9-15. The gravel is to be deliverd FOB Destination to the United States Fish & Wildlife Service, Fort Niobrara National Wildlife Refuge, Cornell Bridge Boat Launch Parking Lot, located four miles east of Valentine, Nebraska, off State Highway 12, before June 30, 2008. The gravel shall be dump spread per direction of the National Park Service point of contact. Measurement will be the number of tons delivered and accepted to the nearest tenth of a ton based on certified weight tickets. Weight tickets will be signed by National Park Service personel and a copy provided for billing reference. The driver shall schedule deliveries with National Park Service point of contact, Stuart Schneider, 402-376-1901 or cell 402-394-5974. The purchase is a lump sum, Firm-Fixed-Price contract. The magnitude of the purchase is less than $25,000.00. Product Service Code 5610, NAICS Code 423320. The Small Business Standard is: 100 employees. Paper copies of this combined Synopsis/Solicitation will not be issued. Unless amendments are issued extending the solicitation, the offers are due by 2:00 pm MST, June 3, 2008.
