- NOTICE OF PROPOSED CONTRACT ACTIONS Solicitation/Reference number F4BWP08050A001 20 May 2008 1. This is a 100% small business set aside. This notice will serve as notification of a solicitation for the following requirements: ITEM DESCRIPTION: Brand Name or Equal Specification for the purchase of 12 each Rotational Platform and Photogate Head Units. FOB Destination. Inspection and Acceptance at Destination. Include shipping costs in unit price. Delivery is required by 30 Days after receipt of order (ARO). The Physics department at the US Air Force Academy has a requirement to purchase 12 Rotationg Platforms and 12 Photogate Head Units. Each system should consist of low-friction bearings, a rotating platform, 3-step pulley and base system. Photogate head units need to be 7.5cm wide, <50ns fall time with spatial resolution of <1mm. Timing resolution of 0.1 millisecong and have a stereo phone connector. CLIN 0001: 12 Each of the Rotational Platform should consist of the following: a. Rotating Platform b. Low-friction bearings c. 3-Step pully d. Support rod for photogate head e. Sturdy Base CLIN 0002: 12 each of the Photogate Head unit should consist of the following: a. Photogate Head width 7.5cm b. Fall time -<50ns c. Spatial Resolution -<1mm d. Timing Resolution—0.1 millisecond e. Connector—Stereo phone plug f. Compatible with PASCO ME-9215A photo gate timer. 2. All responsible small business sources may submit a quotation, which shall be considered by the agency. It should be noted that faxed quotations will be accepted. The faxed quotation can be sent to (719)333-9103. Email quotations will also be accepted and can be emailed to michael,fredericks@usafa.af.mil. 3. Faxed or emailed quotations are to be received at the Contracting Office, 8110 Industrial Drive, Suite 200, USAF Academy CO 80840-2315, no later than 12 Noon (MST) on 29 May 08 4. This procurement is for the acquisition of a commercial item using simplified procedures in accordance with FAR Parts 12 & 13. 5. FAR provision 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications--Commercial Items, and the 252.212-7000 Offeror Representations and Certifications apply. The clause 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions--Commercial Items, with the following addenda applies to this acquisition. Addendum to 52.212-4, 52.247-34 FOB Destination (Nov 1991). FAR clause 52.212-5 (DEV) (Nov 2006), Contract Terms and Conditions Required To Implement Statutes or Executive Orders--Commercial Items (Deviation) applies to this acquisition. Additional FAR clauses applicable to this acquisition are: 52.219-6, 52.219-26, 52.222-3, 52.222-19, 52.222-21, 52.222-26, 52.222-33, 52.222-36, 52.222-50 and 52.252-2. DFARS 252.212-7001 (DEV), Contract terms and conditions required to implement status of Executive Orders applicable to Defense Acquisitions of Commercial Items (Deviation) (Jan 2007), applies to this acquisition with the inclusion of the following: 252.225-7001, Buy American Act and Balance of Payment program and 252.232-7003, Electronic submissions of Invoices (May 2006).
