- Description
- This Request for Proposal (RFP) is seeking proposals under stewardship contracting authority vested through Public Law 108-7, Sec 323. Goods (timber) will be traded for services to meet the objectives of this project. The work required by this solicitation includes 1) whole tree removal 2) slash disposal, lop, scatter, piling and burning 3) construction of approximately 2.2 miles of specified road. The work will take place within the Keystone Stewardship Project Area located in the vicinity of Keystone, Colorado. The project work will take place on approximately 1,038 acres of forest land in the Dillon Ranger District on the White River National Forest. The estimated quantity of sawtimber to be removed is 8,473 CCF of Lodgepole Pine & Other; 3,857 CCF of Lodgepole pine & Other POL, 1,741 CCF of Biomass; and an unestimated amount of Biomass subject to removal by agreement. Specified road reconstruction, temporary road construction and road maintenance will be required in order to complete the service work and timber removal. The NAICS is 115310 and the small business size standard is $16.5 million. The solicitation will be set aside for small business. Any eligible, responsible small business may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the agency. Solicitation AG-82X9-S-08-9999 will be issued and posted on this website on or around June 16, 2008. The forest service anticipates award of a firm-fixed price contract utilizing best value techniques and stewardship authority. The period of performance will be approximately 3 years from the date of contract award. Information concerning the Pre-Proposal Site Visit will be posted in the solicitation.
