Description
The government is seeking sources for the installation of range lateral limit markers for the live fire ranges located at Marine Corps Air Station Yuma AZ. The markers will be constructed of aluminum with highway sign quality facings for maximum durability and visibility. Left and right lateral limit markers will be required for 5 live fire ranges. The contractor will be required to fabricate the lateral limit markers as follows: Each marker will consist of a single-sided, non-illuminated aluminum frame 4 feet wide and 20 feet long overall, each with a single sided aluminum panel 4 feet by 8 feet by 3/16 inches thick. Uprights will be made of 4 x 4 inch aluminum posts with mill finish. The removable panels will be decorated on one side with diagonal black and white stripes 12 inches wide and attached with 1 inch aluminum mill finish angle stock. Left lateral limit marker stripes will slant from upper left to lower right. Right lateral limit marker stripes will slant from upper right to lower left. The contractor will be required to install each lateral limit marker in an exact location as designated by the government. Installation will be made by burying 6 inch I.D. steel pipe, 8 feet long, vertically in the ground so that they extend approximately 6 inches above ground level. The marker frame legs will slide into the buried pipes. Gravel filling will be used in the pipes to achieve the desired height above the ground. Contractor will be required to provide all equipment, compressors, generators, excavators, etc. to accomplish the installation. Government will provide explosive ordnance disposal (EOD) support as required. The award will be approximately $30,000 with an anticipated delivery date of 90 days after contract award. This request for proposal in no way implies either implicitly or explicitly that respondents will be compensated in any way by the US Government for information or materials provided. It should not be construed as a commitment of any kind by the US Government to issue a solicitation. Any information provided to the Government in response to this RFI will become USMC property and will not be returned. All proprietary or classified information will be treated appropriately.
