- THIS IS AN 8(a) COMPETITIVE SET-ASIDE. THIS PROCUREMENT WILL BE LIMITED TO ELIGIBLE 8(a) FIRMS LOCATED WITHIN THE GEOPGRAPHICAL AREA SERVICED BY THE SMALL BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION (SBA) MISSISSIPPI DISTRICT OFFICE. The work consists of furnishing all plant, labor, materials and equipment, and raising four existing dikes in Adams county, Mississippi. The work involves approximately 6,560 linear feet of work in the Mississippi River. Principal features of the work include mobilization and demobilization, constructing stone dikes in the Mississippi River, and environmental protection. The value of the proposed work is between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. Plans and specifications will be available on the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) Web Page at http://www.fedbizopps.gov/. Bidders may register on the Interested Vendors List (IVL) at http://www.2fbo.gov/ and retrieve an IVL from the same location. Compact disc and hardcopies will not be available. Bidders should check often for changes (AMENDMENTS). Issue date on or about June 10, 2008. Bid opening date on or about July 15, 2008.
