Description
THIS IS A 100% EMERGING SMALL BUSINESS SET-ASIDE ACQUISITION. The contractor shall provide all plant, labor, tools, parts equipment, transportation and incidentals to remove existing reinforced concrete box culvert structure. Design, fabricate, deliver, and install a new 36" reinforced concrete pipe (RCP) culvert. The work includes all associated earthwork and dewatering. Located at Fish Springs, NWR, Juab County, Utah. Work included (numbers are estimates only) the Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to: 1. The structure shall be furnished and delivered complete with all necessary accessories customarily furnished with structures of the type specified whether stipulated herein or not.2. Perform dewatering, clearing, excavation, backfill, compaction, and grading necessary to complete the project as required.3. Install signing, which includes two, signs for a one-lane bridge.4. Work shall include an initial survey of the facilities/structure and comparison with the project drawings to verify the locations and details shown.5. Work shall include all dewatering required to remove the existing structure and install the new structure according to the requirements of the drawings and this specification.6. Work shall included removal of the existing guardrail prior to demolition of theexisting structure and re-installation of the guardrail after the new structure is complete.7. The Contractor shall revise the project drawings to document the work completed under this contract. Revisions shall include any corrections required by discovery of errors in the original drawings.8. The Contractor shall have all certificates and licenses required by law for the execution of the work and shall comply with all Federal, State, or local laws, ordinances or rules and regulations relating to performance of the work. Contractor is responsible for 1. The existing box culvert structure shall be removed and disposed of at the Government landfill at the Contractor's expense. 2. Furnish and install precast reinforced concrete culvert sections consisting of a 36" RCP pipe, precast cutoff wall, precast headwall/wing wall, and slide gates. 3. Cast-in-place reinforced concrete may be substituted for precast reinforced concrete with the approval of the Contracting Officer.4. The work shall also include all clearing, excavation, backfill, compaction, testing and grading as necessary to complete the project.5. The structural components of the structure shall comply with a highway loading of HS20-44. Structural loads shall be determined according to AASHTO requirements. The period of performance is 90 calendar days from the Notice to Proceed. It is anticipated that the Notice to Proceed will be issued on or about June 4, 2008.The period of performance is 180 calendar days from the Notice to Proceed. It is anticipated that the Notice to Proceed will be issued on or about April 1, 2008. The estimated magnitude of construction is between $25,000.00 and $100,000.00. The total performance is 90 days from the Notice to Proceed. This acquisition is open to emerging small business concerns. The NAICS code 237990, Other Heavy and Civil Engineering Construction and small business size standard is $31 Million. The solicitation package is anticipated to available electronically on/or about May 16, 2008 with an anticipated closing date of May 30, 2008.
