- The James E. Van Zandt VA Medical Center, 2907 Pleasant Valley Blvd.; Altoona, Pennsylvania anticipates releasing a solicitation for landscaping and flower bed maintenance services. The resulting contract will be for one (1) base year of contract performance with four (4) option years awarded pending satisfactory contract performance during the previous season. The winning contractor will provide all supervision, labor, tools, materials, mulch, and plantings to meet the requirements of the resulting contract. The corresponding NAICS Code for this solicitation is 561730 with a small business size standard of $6.5 million. This solicitation will be set aside 100% for small businesses. Offerors should be able to respond for emergency or urgent clean up situations within three (3) hours of notification by the VA Contracting Officer's Technical Representative (COTR). A Pre-Solicitation Conference/Site Visit will be held May 28, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. in Building 2, Room 106 at 2907 Pleasant Valley Blvd, Altoona, Pennsylvania 16602. Attendance at the site visit is not mandatory to submit an offer. However, offerors are strongly encouraged to attend the site visit to get an accurate and first hand idea of what the work will entail.
