Description
The Naval Air Systems Command intends to place a sole-source firm fixed price order under Basic Ordering Agreement N00019-05-G-0026 with McDonnell Douglas Corporation (MDC) (A Wholly Owned Subsidiary of the Boeing Company) of St. Louis, Missouri 63166, for the procurement of twenty (20) F/A-18 Polyurethane Fuel Cell Visual Aids along with a design drawing package. The objective is to provide Fleet Maintainers, Quality Assurance Representative and DEPOT Artisans with a visual aid to determine acceptability of new or newly repaired polyurethane fuel cell bladders prior to installation into aircraft. Use of visual aids along with technical manual NAVAIR 01-1A-35, Aircraft Fuel Cells and Tanks, Maintenance Instruction Organizational, Intermediate and DEPOT, will enable technicians to perform inspections to determine acceptance or rejection of polyurethane fuel cells. Projected period of performance is 1 July 2008 through 30 June 2009. MDC is the sole designer, developer, manufacturer and integrator of the F/A-18E/F aircraft in its various configurations and is the only source with the knowledge, expertise, facilities, and qualified personnel necessary to accomplish this effort. Any interested party must have the knowledge, expertise, facilities, and qualified personnel necessary accomplish this effort within schedule requirements. Any respondent must also submit a Statement of Qualifications to demonstrate respondent’s ability to perform to the Government’s needs within the required response time.
