- Description
- The Forest Service Savannah River has a requirment for secondary road and earthwork construction. The contractor shall provide all equipment, labor, materials, tools and other incidentals and execute all work necessary to perform required construction and reconstruction activities within the boundaries of the Savannah River Site (SRS), including all road easements and right-of-ways. The work will consist of construction and reconstruction activities associated with gravel and native-surfaced single and double-lane roads, parking lots, soil and water restoration, facility grounds, well sites, turnarounds, drainage structures, clearing and grubbing, earthwork, road surfacing and resurfacing, riprap installation, soil and water restoration, and turf establishment or other activities similar in nature on the SRS. Task orders issued by the Government (usually on a monthly basis) will detail the construction activities required and the order in which performance is required. Actual quantities of services ordered will depend upon existing conditions at the time of the Government inspection. Construction activities will be dispersed over the entire site. The contractor will be expected to have the ability to perform multiple tasks during the task order period. This Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) single task order contract is for the base year (October 1st, 2008 – September 30s, 2009) with 3 option years for a total of four years. The base period and each option year will not exceed $1.25 million. A minimum guarantee for the contract period is $200,000 and the maximum contract amount will not exceed $5,000,000. Bonding is required to meet the minimum guaranteed amount.($200,000) The is solicitation is limited to 8(a) competition limited to the South East Region (South Carolina, North Carolina, Georgia, Alabama, Kentucky, Tennessee, Mississippi, and Florida) NAICS code is 237310--$ 31 Million. The solicitation will be issued on or around 30 May 2008. Note: Savannah River Site is a restricted access Government facility and vehicle searches are done on all vehicles entering the Site. No contraband items, such as guns, ammunition, drugs etc. are allowed on Site. A picture ID of persons entering the Site is required. A minimum of 72 hours is required to process any security badge requests for U.S. Citizens and up to 30 days could be required for non-U.S. citizens. Contractors should pay close attention to the deadlines to submit information required to gain access for site visit included in the solicitation. Offerors must register on the site in order to receive notification of changes to the solicitation. The offeror is responsible for monitoring this site for release of the solicitation and any subsequent postings. All interested parties must be registered with the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) as prescribed by FAR Clause 52.204-7 and ORCA.
