- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items number AV8RX02500RX00 issued on 14 May 2008 prepared in accordance with the format in the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation is being issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ) using Simplified Acquisition Procedures under the test program for certain commercial items found at FAR Part 13.5. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions ands clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-15 and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement, Defense Change Notice (DCN) 20060519. The NAICS code is 335931 and the small business size standard is 500. The following commercial items requested in this solicitation is Vivisun Lenses. These items include PN: 95-6C-54-K6-70158, 95-6C-54-K6-70159, 95-6C-54-K6-70751, 95-46-55-K6-70206, and 95-XX-55-K6-70751. The delivery time is 8 weeks. FOB point is Destination. Inspection and acceptance shall be at destination by the Government. All items shall be delivered to L3 Communications, Lexington, KY. The following provisions and clauses apply to this acquisition: The provision at FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors--Commercial Items. Offers shall be evaluated on a technically acceptable, low offer basis. The clause at 52.212-2, Evaluation Commercial Items. The provision at FAR 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications -- Commercial Items, and the offeror must ensure a completed ORCA is available for download. The clause at FAR 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial Items; FAR 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required To Implement Statutes or Executive Orders--Commercial Items.
