- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Quotes will be accepted on an all or none basis. The solicitation number is W912P8-08-T-0104; this solicitation is a request for quotation. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-25. This acquisition will be UNRESTRICTED; the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 532412. The business size standard is $6.5 million. The Federal Supply Class (FSC) is 3810. The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) is 7353. The Contract Award will include a base period and four (4) option periods. BASE PERIOD: Contractor is responsible for all transportation, labor, and equipment to provide for the leasing of three (3) cranes. One (1) each at London Ave Canal, Orleans Ave Canal and 17th Street Canal from 1 June 2008 through 30 November 2008 for the base period. Crane Type - 60 Ton Hydraulic Rough Terrain Crane, Similar or equal to Tadano Model - TR-600XL-3; Lifting Rating - Main Hook - 60 Tons at 36.1 foot Radius with Outriggers extended; Aux Hook - 6 Tons Minimum; Boom Length - Power Telescoping from 36.1 feet to 114.8 feet; Swing - 360 degree continuous power swing with swing lock; Outriggers - Fully powered outriggers with independent operations; Operation - Crane and Driving operation from one cab; Safety - Load Moment Indicating system and Anti-Two blocking switch;Transport - Able to transverse on the Highway;Crane Maximum Length - With Boom Fully Retracted and stored - 45 feet; Crane Maximum Width - 10 Feet with out Riggers fully retracted; Crane Maximum Height - 12 feet 4 3/4 inches with Boom stored; Crane Width with Outriggers extended - 23 feet 7 1/2 inches. Provide all preventive and corrective maintenance to the cranes. The government will provide access to the sites after coordinating with the contractor for all maintenance. All maintenance, parts, supplies, equipment, and labor to service the cranes will be provided by the contractor and included in the contract price. All operations manuals for the crane and its load systems will be in the cab of the crane. The contractor will respond within 24 hours if corrective maintenance is needed. The Government will use only certified crane operators to operate the cranes. The government will be responsible to provide fuel after the initial tank and will return the crane with a full tank of fuel after the contract period concludes. The cranes will be inspected by a government inspector prior to delivery to verify they are suitable for its intended use.
