- The Department Of Veterans Affairs, VISN 15 Contracting Office intends to purchase, sole-source, from Celleration, INC., 10250 Valley View Road, Suite 137, Eden Prairie, MN 55344. This Requirement is to provide (1) Mist Therapy System and (1) Mist Cart. The Mist Therapy System equipment is provided on a commercial basis, but the only source of this specific brand of equipment in this specific configuration is Celleration, INC. Any contractor wishing to offer their product shall respond no later than May 27, 2008. The product offered must be able to meet all the salient characteristics of the aforementioned item. Characteristics include: Advanced wound care modality that should promote healing through cellular stimulation while removing bacteria from the wound. It is a painless non-contact ultrasound device that should be able heal wounds without the traditional ultrasound requirement of direct contact with the skin. It should create ultrasound waves that produce and propel a gentle mist of sterile saline to the wound bed. This resulting mist of saline improves the transfer of ultrasound from the device to the wound bed without contact or pain to the patient. The mist should also replace the coupling gel that is required for all other forms of ultrasound such as fetal monitoring, sports medicine, and physical therapy.
