Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The reference number is F2A3E28099A001; this solicitation is a request for quotation. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-25. This acquisition is Unrestricted; the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 562111. The business size standard is 11.5 Mil. This request for quotation consists of the following: Contractor shall provide labor, supervision, equipment, transportation, and permits required for Spent Blast Media (SBM) Recycling to prevent the creation of a hazardous waste stream. SBM is a mixture of used blast media, paint, and surface coating debris generated as a result of media blasting of aircraft parts and contains levels of cadmium and chromium, i.e., greater than 1.0 ppm and 5.0 ppm respectively. The contractor must ensure spent media is recycled in a manner that complies with all state and federal laws and requirements. The contract shall provide for one-time SBM pick up, transportation and recycling. Estimated quantities: Plastic (type V) SBM, not to exceed 8.000 lbs, Glass SBM, not to exceed 3,000 lbs The following provisions and clauses apply to this acquisition: FAR 52.211-6 Brand Name or Equal. The provision at FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offeror's--Commercial Items. Quotes will be evaluated and awarded to the offeror with the lowest price technically acceptable. The provision at FAR 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications -- Commercial Items, and the offeror must include a completed copy of this provision with their proposal or be registered in ORCA at https://orca.bpn.gov/.
