Description
Electroantennography Detector Solicitation No. 2008-4431-012 The USDA, ARS, Mid South Area, intends to Sole Source purchase a Electroantennography (EAG) from Syntech of Kirchzarten, Germany. This EAG must be compatible with and will be connected to an existing Varian Model: CP-3800 GAS Chromatography. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; bids are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation number 2008-4431-012 is being issued as an Invitation for Bid. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-12. Offerors are to provide a bid for the following: SPECIFICATIONS: 1. 4-CHANNEL USB ACQUISITION CONTROLLER, type IDAC-4 4-channel amplifier / data-acquisition system for the Universal Serial Bus (USB). For use with any PC (and portables) with USB port. Real-time on screen display of all signals before and during recording Fully software programmable: Gain, Offset, Filters, Command inputs, etc. 50/60 Hz filter and zero offset control; special EAG filter Sampling rate (1/s - 100k/s) adjustable for each channel individually Powered inputs for active sensors and headstages (Probes) Voice comments can be recorded with data All inputs and outputs galvanically isolated DIRECT OUTPUTS for up to 8 external solenoids (valves) and actuators DIRECT OUTPUTS for 2 proportional actuators (lights, flow controllers, motors, etc.). Programmable time sequence of actuator (solenoids and motors) outputs Graphical time sequence actuator control program Actuator sequence runs simultaneously with signal acquisition 2. EFFLUENT CONDITIONER ASSEMBLY, Type EC-03 Heated transfer line for GC-EAD Digital temperature controller max. 320 °C Effluent /Air mixing assembly with Interchangeable flow tube Adapted to fit available Gas Chromatograph Heater separated from mains via isolation transformer 3. Signal outputs compatible with Syntech recording systems Suitable for EAG and GC/EAD and SSR procedures Including foot operated start switch 4. MICROMANIPULATOR, Type MP-22 Very compact integral universal recording module Dual joystick type x-y-z micromanipulators Suitable for glass pipette and tungsten electrode recording Including High impedance input probe and different electrode holder Indifferent electrode holder Connects directly to Syntech IDAC computer interface No amplifier needed if used in combination with IDAC computer interface Adjustable preparation holder Adjustable air flow tube 5. UNIVERSAL SINGLE ENDED PROBE, Type PRS-1 High impedance electrometer type input OpAmp Guarded input shield extends over pipette holder Electrode directly connected to input of electrometer OpAmp Stainless steel pipette electrode holders included Easy replaceable silver wire (no soldering) Complete with indifferent electrode holder on stainless steel shaft 6. EAG and GC/EAD SIGNAL RECORDING and ANALYSIS PROGRAM For use with Syntech IDAC data acquisition systems Auto zero on trigger signal of base line and time base Real-time recording and display of ElectroAntennogram signals (EAG) Calculation and display of EAG maxima and Normalized values Calculation and display of means and standard deviations Dual trace real-time recording of combined Gas chromatography-Electro Antennographic Detection (GC/EAD); max 5 hours continuous recording Peak area calculation and retention time marking on GC and EAD trace Amplitude and time-base zooming Comments stored with data Graphic output in Windows metafile format Printing of all graphic and numeric data ASCII data output 7. Gerstel Effluent Splitter This equipment shall be delivered F.O.B. Destination to the USDA, ARS, located in Stoneville, MS. "This procurement requires the use of biobased products to the extent that such products are reasonably available, meet agency or relevant industry performance standards, and are reasonably priced. Where available, these products should first be acquired from among qualified products that fall under the umbrella of items designated through the Federal Biobased Products Preferred Procurement Program (FB4P)" Equipment Line Items: UNIT NO. Bid prices shall include all necessary labor, parts, materials, and transportation necessary to delivered FOB Destination a Electroantennography Detector to USDA, ARS, 59 Lee Road, Stoneville, MS 38776. This contract incorporates one or more clauses by reference, with the same force and effect as if they were given in full text.
